VACIP – Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting and Interllectual Properties Protection Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises, is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, is being established for the purposes of supporting and protecting the legitimate interests of its members in the areas of anti-counterfeiting and protection of intelectual properties.
April 2002 – Kick-off Meeting of FDI companies in Viet Nam to co-propose for a Anti-counterfeiting Alliance
September 2004 – Instruction letter No.4600/VPCP-KG from Vice President Vu Khoan to agree for forming of VACIP under Decree 08/1998
Jannuary 5th, 2005 – Decision No.12 issued by the Minister of Home Affairs granting permission for VACIP to be established
VACIP’s main activities
- Co-operate with the organisation, competent authorities of Viet nam to enforce intellectual property rights;
- Exchange experiences, provide training for management of the enterprises and for anti-counterfeiting purposes
- Provide information about the Governmental policies, legal documents to be issued by the Vietnamese Government in economics and anti-counterfeiting aspects.
- Enhance the foreign investment effect for its members.
